You can delete your Trace account at any time, from the app or without it.
In the app
1.
Open Settings › Your account.
2.
Tap Delete account, then confirm.
Trace deletes your account and signs you out. Photos that were still uploading are removed by a later cleanup, which also retries any step that fails.
Without the app
Email support@mysupplementsapp.com from the address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". If you signed in with Apple and hid your email, write from any address and tell us the date you created your account. We'll confirm it's you and delete the account, normally within 30 days.
What is deleted
•
Your account: email address, sign-in identifiers and account settings.
•
What your phone sent to Trace's AI features that our servers keep, such as photos, descriptions, answers and fixes.
•
The feedback you sent, with any screenshot, our replies, how you found Trace, our team's tags and notes about you, and what our team's website keeps from the subscription management provider.
•
What you shared with Trace's team, what your phone shared for help, and the safety signals kept under a code made from your account's ID (our Privacy Policy, sections 3.15 to 3.17).
What we keep, and why
•
Technical and security logs, as long as we need them to run and protect the service, for example to investigate a security incident or abuse.
•
Backup copies of our database, until those copies are deleted. Backup copies are kept for a limited time, as long as needed to restore the service after a failure, and then deleted. We use them to restore the service and as the law requires.
•
Records of how often AI features were used, with no content, for limits and security.
•
Product research requests still in our servers' memory, until they're cleared.
•
Trace Plus records, for support, refunds and the financial and tax records the law requires (our
Privacy Policy, section 8).
•
Consent records (which version of which document you agreed to or withdrew, and when), as proof of your choices.
•
A record that you asked for deletion, as proof we did it, and a scrambled form of your account's ID, so our team's records about you aren't rebuilt.
•
Information we must keep by law, or need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, for as long as that need lasts.
•
De-identified, aggregated statistics that can't identify you.
Your journal on your phone
Your journal isn't on our servers, so deleting your account doesn't delete it from your phone. To delete it, open Settings › Your data › Delete all data, or delete the app. Copies in your phone's own backup (iCloud or Google) are controlled in your phone's settings.
If you signed in with Apple, you can also stop using your Apple Account with Trace in your iPhone's settings: Settings › [your name] › Sign-In & Security › Sign in with Apple.

If you use Trace without an account
On iPhone and Android you can use Trace's AI features without an account, so there's no account to delete. What your phone sent to Trace's AI features, such as meal photos, is deleted automatically when it's no longer needed or, if we keep it, when the period we set ends (our
Privacy Policy, section 3.3), and your phone's daily allowance count is kept in our servers' memory. Its monthly usage record (how many times each AI feature was used and the estimated cost, with no content) is currently kept for the current and previous month, then deleted.
Once your phone uses an AI feature, our database also keeps a record for it, with an identifier for its Trace key and no content. Our team keeps any feedback you sent, our replies and how you found Trace under your phone's support ID, and our servers keep safety signals under a code made from it. To have all of these deleted, email support@mysupplementsapp.com with the support ID shown in Settings › Trace Plus, with the subject "Delete my data". If you've already deleted the app, tell us roughly when you sent feedback and what it said, so we can find it.
Deleting the app removes its key, but not what our servers keep.
